Exploration #78. The ex-cement factory SACCI (Società Anonima Centrale Cementerie Italiane), was established in December 1933 with the amalgamation of several small companies producing hydraulic binders, some of which had been in operation since the last decade of the 19th century. The factory, which remained in operation until the last years of the 20th century, played a fundamental role in the economy of the area and its housing development.
