SIECC [IT]
Exploration #213 SIECC. SIECC, Società Italiana Estratti Concianti e Coloranti, was a tannin factory opened in 1903 with the aim to exploit the vast chestnut forests of a near valley. The activity was carried on until the 1970s. Later it was replaced by a composite wood manufacturing, the PANDA-TRADA, which closed in 2000 after the company went bankruptcy. These old buildings are the only survivors of the old SIECC factory, while the PANDA-TRADA plant was completely emptied a few years ago. Some structures have collapsed and vegetation is reclaiming the space. However, some machinery and old decay control panels can still be found inside.
